They can weigh up to 14 lbs there which will be a long fight using light gear targeting panfish. If you get a larger catfish on light gear on the line at the Mudwater location you might be fighting it for a while. When I fish anywhere on Mudwater if I go deeper than half way with the leader length I usually end up starting to catch bottom feeding fish (Catfish, Bowfin, Carp, Burbot). The ultralight gear you start the game with works just fine.
